Fifth Avenue
The photographs were taken on the Avenue itself or no more then a half a block east or west. Fifth Avenue extends from Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village to 142nd Street in Harlem. The relatively small area between 42nd Street and 60th Street in midtown Manhattan was the location for most of the photographs in this book. People are the subject matter. Some are aware of the camera, but most are in their own personal bubble.
The photographs shown are a selection of images drawn from the larger series.
